Cranberry - Orange Sauce

I personally LOVE the “real” cranberry sauce as opposed to the canned kind. This sauce is so delicious and tart. It’s both delicious as a side and as a condiment spread on bread for turkey sandwiches.

Cranberry- Orange Sauce

Ingredients:

3/4 C water
1 small orange, zested and juiced
2/3 C sugar (plus more to taste)
12 oz cranberries
1/2 – 1 T fresh ginger, peeled and grated

Directions:
Add water, OJ, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge. Makes 10 servings.

I love Orange-Cranberry Sauce! My recipe is the same only I add a dash of cinnamon, cloves, and the secret and oh-so-special- cardamom. Try it- You'll be so glad you did! Happy Thanksgiving!
